Android Auto Features:
Google Assistant
Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel with Google Assistant on Android Auto. Use it to find routes, listen to music, and even check the weather. To get started, simply say, "Hey Google."
Navigation
With Google Maps and Waze, you can get real-time traffic notifications. You can also ask Google Assistant to find gas stations along the trip and check EV charging availability. It's all shown on your car's display, helping you learn more about what's around you.
Communicate
Your messages can be read aloud by Google Assistant. You can also respond by talking. Android Auto makes driving less distracting by allowing you to make calls and use chat apps with just your voice.
Entertain
Take your media with you when you hit the road. Listen to your favorite playlist, start a new audiobook, or jam out to that song for the hundredth time. You can pause or play it all with your voice!
How to Set Up Android Auto
- Check your car: Make sure your car or stereo is compatible with Android Auto.
- Check your phone: With Android 10, Android Auto is built in - so you don't need the app to get started. If you have Android 9 or below, you'll need to get the Android Auto app on your phone (download Android Auto).
- Connect and go: Connect your phone to your car with a USB cable and see Android Auto on your dashboard display.
If you have difficulty setting up Android Auto in your vehicle, check your owner's manual for more information specific to your car.
