Jeep Wrangler Generations
The original "Jeep" as it came to be known, was the Willys MB, a military reconnaissance vehicle that saw widespread use throughout the Second World War. Wrangler YJ (1986-1996)
1986 saw the introduction of the first Jeep Wrangler, also known as the YJ. Although similar to the Jeep CJ, the Wrangler was an all-new design, featuring more comfort features to make it better suited for on-road driving while maintaining its off-road capabilities. All YJ Wranglers came with two doors and a soft-top as standard equipment.

Jeep Wrangler Willys
The Wrangler Wills is a step up from the base Sport trim and is a callback to the original Willys Jeep from the 1940s. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Although the Unlimited term is not necessarily a trim level, it is nonetheless a popular version of the Jeep Wrangler, starting with the JK and JL generations. Simply put, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is the four-door version and has quickly become the most popular variant on the market.
